Which types of harm are sufficiently “irreparable” to support issuance of a TRO or preliminary injunction?

Establishing irreparable harm in a patent case can be challenging in light of the wide range of damages and injunctive relief a court may award after a finding of liability. Nevertheless, courts have found irreparable harm in a number of situations. See summaries of court orders finding irreparable harm for purposes of a TRO or preliminary injunction in patent cases. (To view orders denying a TRO or preliminary injunction, change the “Result of motion” filter at the top of the page to “denied”.)
